Magical snippets from strange places
If I hear something that could be useful, I will store it in my memory and use it – this can happen in the strangest of places.
A few years ago I was watching an episode of THE WEAKEST LINK. It was when Anne Robinson was the host.
I can’t remember the entire text, but here is the gist of it.
She said to the contestant “don’t you hate it when…”
His reply was “I’m training to be a Buddhist and we are taught not to hate, as this occupies too much of your mind.”
This is something I have used in both my personal and professional lives – and it works wonders.
We all get annoyed with people, with things, with ourselves. But get annoyed , identify the problem, work out a solution and move on – it’s amazing.
