A great mind

When I was woken by the radio this morning – I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Stephen Hawking.
I will miss him in several ways:

• he was a great physicist, and will be missed in that community
• his mind was so alert, and full of challenging ideas – if my mind was as alive as his, I would consider myself to be very fortunate indeed.
• and he was able to cope with a serious disability, and show that he had fantastic ideas to
  contribute to the world.
